History and innovation in a bottle
Granadilla Rum history starts in 2014 when two young men from Extremadura, both of them are agronomists and founding partners of the first brewery in Extremadura, decided to investigate the development, production and design of Premium rum, genuine and authentic.
Two years later, after several trips and experience gained in different American factories, in December 2016, the first Granadilla Aged Rum bottles were bottled in collaboration with a distillery from Cádiz, whose rums are matured at least for 18 months in American oak barrels, which appropriately produce the removal of components of oak wood of barrels due to its porosity characteristics.
The name of Granadilla Rum comes from Tierras de Granadilla (Zarza de Granadilla, Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain), the place where the company that creates and designs this sweet sugar cane elixir is located. In and around Tierras de Granadilla cultures and traditions that have persevered until now are maintained.
The guaranty of this heritage conservation is extended by Granadilla Rum, which intends to reflect the values of continuity, tradition and know-how maintained by the inhabitants in this area for centuries.
